Approval Chains
Configure multi-step approval processes for deals and transactions.
Approval chains ensure that certain actions require authorisation from one or more approvers before proceeding.
Creating an approval chain
-
Go to Settings > Workflows > Approval Chains.
-
Click Create Approval Chain.
-
Give the chain a name (e.g., "Deal Closure Approval").
-
Define the trigger conditions:
- Deal amount exceeds — Threshold in AED
- Commission rate — Percentage threshold
- Action type — Deal closure, status change, payout
-
Add approvers in order:
- Level 1 — Team Manager
- Level 2 — Operations Manager
- Level 3 — Admin
-
Save the chain.
How approval works
- An agent triggers an action that requires approval.
- The system sends a notification to the first approver.
- The approver reviews and approves or rejects.
- If approved, the next approver (if any) is notified.
- Once all levels approve, the action completes.
- If rejected, the action is cancelled and the agent is notified.
Approval notifications
- In-app notification
- Email notification
- Dashboard task in the approver's queue
Approval chains can delay deal closure. Set thresholds appropriately to balance control with efficiency.
